blackbetty
and i located the place for the posts of the LORAN antenna using the pic i will take a measurement of that antenna from the tamiya F-4D kit to see if its similar in lenght (allthough i know it has three posts, the hunter has only two ) more to come, stay tuned
blackbetty
some primer is in order, so i made some mask out of thin styropor packaging material its thin enough to bend, its soft to wedge in nicely. small gaps can be closed by filling them with strips of the material
blackbetty
this is how they fit, not perfect, but if you dont drown it in paint, it works
blackbetty
another reason not to apply too much paint (at least with laquer based primers): it reacts with the styropor, you can see it in the pic
blackbetty
adding weight to the nose was next i use lead weights that are for balancing tires, the one for the alloy wheels. they come stamped for weight, so if the instructions suggest a weight (as revells do), you can exactly match the number. blackbetty
the 40gr dont fit the nose, so some were glued above the front wheelwell with thick ca glue dont forget to see if the nose still fits before it cures thanx for watching comment welcome
