Thanks for the update Dave. I know what you mean. I am away a lot for work and when I arrive home it doesnt feel right to walk in the door and go straight to my model desk! I think my wife and son would have something to say about that!

I am off to look at your other one now, but hey take your time on this one...it is a masterpiece..

Cheers

Hi Dave

Quick question mate.

Any tricks to removing the wing tank bay covers on the lower wing? I have removed the outer ones but the inner ones just daunt me! It took forever to remove the outer ones......any tricks or did you just use a big file like I am?

Cheers

Anthony

I think you are talking about "grain of wheat bulbs"?? Don't need those as they typically are long cylindrically shaped bulbs. I also ma not going to add working lights to it. I'm doing too much already :)

This sketch basically shows the odd shape of the bulb and the deep reflector.

At this scale, MV Lens are just too shallow.

Dave,

Did you ever find a solution to this ? The Mustang has the same deep reflector bucket in the undersurface of the left wing. Perhaps this might help you.

These are done with rail road grain of wheat bulbs in 1/24th.

8" Double cut bast-ard file was my weapon of choice :wicked:

I hate this auto edit "PC" filter, I mean "double cut ******* file" is a legitimate term :angry2:
