BTW, Aviaeology is also scaling up their RCAF Mosquito markings into 1/24th scale for this kit. Look for options for 418 Squadron Mosquitos. For those unfamiliar, have a look at their website.

Man, I love that SEAC scheme...very tempting. Interesting the Australian Mossies were silver. I wonder what the reasoning was there? Reflecting heat? Making them easier to spot?

Do you mean Cammett's etched grills? Got a set myself and they are a vast improvement. Also included in the set are replacement cowling fasteners

 

Decided on doing mine as HR118 3-W 235sq off the Xtradecal sheet.

Sounds exactly like the ones pictured on Mastercasters site Chris--available now, with exhausts soon to come-----perhaps they are the same set---but I saw them at Mastercasters...

Yes, they are the same ones. Got mine direct from Cammett. As I've said, a very nice set.

I had some grill work laying around the parts box and ended up sticking them on the front of the intakes.

 

Am now working on the wheels/nacelles. Each one is a major project in of itself, especially with all the tubing and stuff coming from the engine and into the wing. And the wheels are also a task, but they look good. More pictures, eventually. I'm taking my time with this one, like savoring a high quality steak...
