I've been digging around and came across this thread, what a kick ass build, how I missed this is beyond me, but seriously great work so far! Stupid question, how did you get the boot marks? did you just use a pilot figure? 

 

Thanks for your kind comments. Many years ago I bought some resin 1/35th army books - I used these will a mixed palette of MIG 502 oil paints.

A quick update as I have now painted the Zacto AIM-9's using the images that Dave Roof posted of a live Sidewinder.

 

 

 

Pretty much done now.

To remove the piece of debris; One possible solution: Put some masking fluid on the end of a toothpick.  Masking fluid is sticky.

Thank you everyone for your comments - the long journey is over as I have now finished the Hornet (even though I have not added the ladder).
