Hi Everyone

The Huey is done....well the engine area is.

Now that all the pieces have been fabricated it is time to put the fuselage together and start painting..YYEEEPPPE.

It took 14 months to get to this point, I hope that the next 14 will go a little faster. Going back to work tomorrow so posts might be fewer.Vacation is over.

I wanted to thank everyone for the support and interest in the build.

Thanks guys

Oliver

Hi Everyone.

Almost a month since I have been on this site or even worked on the Huey till this morning.....work has been rather busy.

I hope it wont be another month untill I will be able to start on the fuselage paint.

As mentioned before I will be painting the Huey in the 3 tone camo from the 80's/90's. I know it is not accurate at all since the Huey was NEVER painted that color combo but it is such a cool design..I hope the Huey Fans wont be offended.

I has been so long since I used my airbrush to paint I had to get back to the basics. I also wanted to do a paint study before I dove into the paint work. I didn't want to mess up the Huey with a missed paint job.

I also considered doing a rescue huey in yellow/blue scheme but that was short lived.

Here are some photos of the paint trial
