big matt
Sure looks cool Russ. These Japanese planes are starting to grow on me. Can't wait to see it with the meatballs!

ruzlkampf
Rising sun on the side of this AC is further forward than most, cuz of the combat stripes I guess.

ruzlkampf
Needs a wash on the panel lines and such, real bad...and I've got some Tamiya weathering powders I'm going to try for the first time. Slowly getting there though.
ruzlkampf
Ended up making this a 64th Sentai AC. 2nd company commander? Quite the illustrious unit history. I like it.

big matt
Looking good! I have to say that scarf is just awesome. Really brings the plane to life. A word of caution on the Tamiya powders, they don't quite work like the mig pigments or pastels. I have found them to be a little "greasy". Sometimes I get the effect I am trying for but sometimes it really screws things up. I have had trouble with the "soot" and "mud" shades. The silver is a little over the top as well. Maybe I just don't use them right but be careful as they don't come off as easily as other pigments if you don't like the look.
Erwin
Looking good! I have to say that scarf is just awesome. Really brings the plane to life. I have a feeling that a "spinning" prop would be in order here. Otherwise it's a hell of a stormwind blowing over the airfield ! But for the rest.A stunning piece of paintwork. wingman777
Russ, I really like what you've done. Adding the pilot figure and flowing scarf gives it some life, its like you'd expect it to fire up and start coughing smoke and a spinning prop would be a real plus. The Oscar is a very fluid design your paint scheme does it justice.
