Chris Hannover - Germany
That looks great! Good to have one in order Just wondering, is there no spinner on the Bearcat?

Chris H
That looks great! Good to have one in order Just wondering, is there no spinner on the Bearcat? I did a little 1/48 Bearcat a while back that didn't have a spinner. Seen some pics like that too.
fastzx
Early prototypes of the HELLCAT had a spinner but it was done away with as the aero gains were not sufficient AND the engine tended to overheat! Jon
Jack
That looks great! Good to have one in order Just wondering, is there no spinner on the Bearcat? Chris, no military operational Bearcat had a spinner, they were used afterwards sometimes in racing cats...... BTW, what are you looking for/ what's your price for the recce Mustang? cheers, jack. tourist
Well, I like Tom Cleaver, he seems to be the only reviewer to speak his mind without fear of not getting more free stuff. He knows aircrafts (even if I don't always agree about some details). Both the build and the article were good. Makes me want to get a Bearcat. ruzlkampf
Thanks for the link! Answered a question I had about kit specified wheel well colors and such. Didn't think they were zinc chromate, but it's hard to find color pics of an unrestored Bearcat. Also nice he pinned down the correct version(nose cone) of the R-2800 for the -1 early model. The kit comes with 4(!) different types. Nice to know this kit is dimensionally correct too. Again, thanks for the excellent reference!
