Hacker
What else am l going to do on a rainy day but build lol. anyways doing some work on the wings and man got alot to do there so l been toying around with them. Here we go. For those who dont know both kit wings are the same ( yes l know one is green) and both share the same flaws no wheel well, shallow radiator bay, fixed flaps , and a hole in front that should not be there. Hacker
The beauty here is that l have this trashed kit here that l can cannibalise for parts l cut sections from the leading edge of the trash wing to make fillers for that hole. Cut to fit l then super glued it into place. l have to do this four times so the wings of the trash kit are getting pretty butchered ( dont call me hacker for nothing) also on all wings l have removed the flaps so l can reposition them
Hacker
l also plan to expose one engine on each plane so l made the appriate cuts to the upper necells here and remove the flaps
Hacker
here is where trashed kits come in handy. The trash kit wings were already glued together so l took the flaps off so l could show you what l did to make the other two l had done from a previous attempt at this. Once removed l glued some thick styrene strip to the front and left it to dry
Hacker
Also l remove the ailerons from the trashed wings as l plan to repostion these as well ( already had a set made for another attempt) l also glued thick styrene strip on the front and once they dry and the flaps l will spend somt time removing the excess plastic and shaping them
Hacker
One set done. Still another to go. The wings still need work as l have to correct the shallow radiator bays and build bulkheads for the one exposed engine necells and also fix the wheel well interiors so still lots of work head So later guys hacker

Hacker
Welcome class to Me 110 detaling 101 We are just moving and grooving to night with the latest on what l have been doing. first order of business l made form sheet styrene the fire wall for the engine compartment. l glued this and filled in the gap between it and the leading edge on both sides. l did this to both wings
Hacker
The next order of business is to do something with those radiator bays. What l did was to cut the old molded part out and construct new ones by making new sides and using thin sheet styrene to conform to the shape l needed. Once that dried l cut out the wheel well where the tire goes up into the wing when retracted. l thill have some work on this yet as l have to box this in. l repeated making the new radiator bays for each wing and cutting out the wheel well
Hacker
The next order of business was the nacelles for the exposed engines. Seeing that l will not be needing the front of these parts l cut them off l made the bulkheads for these that placed them on the underside of each wing to test fit them and see where l have to go from here. l still have like l said box in where the wheel goes and detail this area up some more but it will look great when done. As for the other nacelles l have some work on those later to fix some problems l have idenified Well that's all for now later gang and l hope you enjoyed this segment of the build hacker
LSP_Ray
Wow, Hacker, you are going to town on those two! It is really coming along nicely!!!
Hacker
Just a quick update as to how the wheel wells are going l think l pretty much got what l want here so here is what l got for you
Hacker
close up of the G-4 wing. so far so good. getting close to gluing the wings together. l will have to work on the nacelles later and l have to modify the radiator covers to make them more prototypical. So anyone has any input let me know as once l glue all the halves together there will no turning back later everyone hacker
