Don't be fooled! It's just a very small coffee table and a paper cut of of his son!!

OK - that windshield area that I thought I'd lost...

 

The pattern is built up from a base-plate cut to size, the remnants of the sections cut away from the fuselage mouldings, a fill of casting resin - then individual plastic sheet windows (7 of them) cut to shape and applied.

 

Here the 'panes' have had inconsistencies filled and then sanded back - circular motion on 800 grit wet and dry on glass surface - being very careful to keep each pane perfectly flat and with sharp jointing corners.

 

Pattern is over tall - will be trimmed down to fit fuselage.

 

Once trimmed for height I'll cut out openings for each pane and replace with clear PETG sheet.

 

Next stage with pattern is to make a female mould in plaster which will then be used to form the plastic shell on my dental vac forming machine.
