Citadelgrad Posted Friday at 04:38 PM Posted Friday at 04:38 PM Just a little figure to challenge me with a decent sized face, he's sort of a caricature of someone many will know. He's set to be a gift for someone so I don't want to be specific until he's handed off in a week. Black primer, zenithal/volumetric white ink for contrast "Pinkle" a la Groundeffected With red for shadows And a very thin medium skin tone. Absolutely devoid of highlights, this is just a simple first skin tone. More later. geedubelyer, chrish, ShelbyGT500 and 4 others 7
geedubelyer Posted Saturday at 09:17 AM Posted Saturday at 09:17 AM Nice start. Is this a commercially available product or did you design and print this from scratch? Citadelgrad 1

Citadelgrad Posted Saturday at 11:24 PM Author Posted Saturday at 11:24 PM Today was frustrating. I disliked the "white" highlights. Aks light flesh has too much white in it. I went back and forth with washes and stripped it back to resin twice. Four repaints, and here is where we are. Saturday, so the progress spurred me on. I got his hair blocked in, painted his lips and gave him 5 o'clock shadow. And I kept going. As I said, its a big headed caricature. Dry fit Long day. My neck hurts. Its 98 in the garage so my brush painting is in the kitchen. But I am happy so far. TankBuster, patricksparks, Shoggz and 3 others 6
Citadelgrad Posted yesterday at 04:21 PM Author Posted yesterday at 04:21 PM (edited) Decided it was a mistake to leave the primer black under the hair, it was reading way too dark. Got to try silly putty for a quick mask and it has its uses. Here's the result: Edit, it looks really "yellow/blonde" in this photo series, but I think that's the lighting and background. In person it looks more like a reddish brown. Still need to add shadows and highlights. Edited yesterday at 06:01 PM by Citadelgrad patricksparks, LSP_Kevin, LSP_Ray and 3 others 6
