Hello everyone,

I’m pleased to present my Dora, fresh off the production line in my basement!

This is one of the first Fw 190 D-9s built, produced at the Focke-Wulf Sorau (Cottbus) factory towards the end of 1944.

There are several photos of this “<II” from I./JG 2 :

I added quite a bit of aftermarket to improve the D-9, and completely reworked the rivet lines, which are missing from the Hasegawa kit.

All the paints I used are from MRP, and all the markings (the 8 crosses, " <II ", " 41 ", spiral, Wr.Nr. and no-walk zones with black dashed lines on the wings) were done with masks (Silhouette Cameo + Oramask).

The only decals used are the technical stencils.

Many thanks to John @Thunnus and Antonio @Antonio Argudo  who helped me enormously with their advice, photos and other documentation.

And thanks as well to everyone who followed the build and encouraged me throughout the WIP thread.

I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts, comments, and I’ll see you very soon for another build!

And now, enough talking, let’s get to the photos!

Denis.

Awesome work! Super precise model, really spot on. :clap2::clap2::clap2:Only the photos (IMO) feel a bit washed out, the model kinda blends into the background...

Thanks for your message, Mals.

I know you’ve got your eye on me, and that’s why I’m raising my game, I don’t want to let you down!  ;)
