Is the PC-21 a viable replacement for the Snowbirds and their Tutors?

In my humble opinion, I don't think so for a fighter jet but I am not proclaiming to be any form of expert.  The power management (torque and throttle) of a high performance turbo prop is not the same as a jet. I don;t know what we are using now to transition into the CF-188?  I guess right into the B model?

Is this the paint scheme the RCAF will use?

I believe it is. That white speed tape decal under the cockpit is covering the "Canada" as well as the Swiss registration covering "RCAF" and Cdn flag on the tail.  I believe this pic is the same airframe #201

They are a good looking unit for sure and sure look to perform like a real hot rod.

You know, it is becoming more and more awkward to understand how things are done these days because most of us are of a generation that did things differently.  The Navy is about to start awarding its Wings of Gold to aviators who have never even seen the boat, much less landed on it, before reporting to their first replacement air wing to fly carrier-based fighters.  Civilian airplanes as simple as the Piper Cub, the very epitome of basic personal flying, sport all glass panels and rock solid autopilots that will handle the entire flight down to decision height without human input.  In a Piper Cub.  Personally, none of this makes any sense to me.  But then, I am ancient and flew all those years because I loved having a throttle in my left hand, a stick in my right and my head up and out in the airflow in an airplane that wanted me to tell it what to do it rather than the other way around.  This current crop of aviators and pilots loves smart phone technology and cannot imagine life without it or its equivalent.  Honestly, jumping from a turboprop straight into an ancient combat jet with no other instruction would be more preferable to me than hours in a simulator tied firmly to the ground.  But kids these days?  It's just another in a long line of video games.  They'll figure it out and make us look bad in the break when they do.

IMPRESSIVE!

Great video, looks good.

Just trying to picture what Reds livery would look like on a Siskin II. I'm optimistic.
