Welcome to the Winging It Group Build!

 

This runs from 1 September 2026 to 28 February 2027.

 

The theme is anything but a single straight low- or mid-winged conventional aircraft. So this includes bent wings, swept wings, delta wings and high wings. I'm also going to include aircraft posed with their wings folded, just to extend the possible options a little. And now with added biplane!

No idea, as this was Brad's concept, so I don't know if they were included in his thinking. I would guess not, or he would have been explicit about it.

I'm going to have to rule no on that one, otherwise it'll turn into a biplane group build - and probably a Wingnut Wings one at that!

 

I will, however, extend the rules to include aircraft posed with their wings folded (though not just the tips, a la early Zeroes, etc).

If the intention was to not allow multiple wings, why specifically add the words anything “but a single” in the rules?  Also, the chances of it turning into a biplane group build are very low IMHO.  There are so many other choices that I doubt you’ll see more than a couple of multi-wing aircraft, if any.

I don't know what Brad's intentions were, only the wording he gave me. Just trying to run with it, but I don't think biplanes and other multi-wing types were part of his thinking, otherwise he would have explicitly mentioned them. But if he lets me know otherwise, then we'll include them.

Brad did agree on biplanes.
