F-16D Polish 1/32 Academy

I’ve been working on the Polish F-16D for several months now. I’m slowly finishing the surface preparation and will soon start painting. For now, I’ll share what I have done so far. 

I tried to modify some of the details based on reference photos. Unfortunately, I managed to order a PW220 nozzle instead of a PW229 (im idiot), so I’ll have to order a new one. I have already installed the first ring, so I hope the remaining parts will fit.

The aftermarket parts I have used or plan to use are:

• MCC seats – beautifully cast, but they arrived quite badly damaged by post

• MCC canopy – also a very nice piece, and this one arrived in perfect condition

• ResKit nozzle

• ResKit external fuel tanks

• Eduard AIM-120C

• Eduard sniper pod

• ResKit AIM-9X

• Kopecký horizontal stabilizer

• Aires landinggear bays – they are old, and the quality shows it

I have to say that ResKit makes really beautiful aftermarket parts. Love them.... But this week, now that I’ve finished the cockpit, they released pictures of the new cockpit for the D version.

Thank you. I'm not saying that Aires is unusable. Not at all. It's just that a lot of cables weren't cast properly, or there were flaws. It simply can't compete with 3D printing anymore. But it's still usable and fitting was good...

Amazingly detailed (and beautiful) painting, Dusan.   I can only imagine what Pete Fleischmann will say when he see's your work.   I can't wait to see more!

Love the way the washes make it look detailed rather than dirty.
Even if there are some casting inaccuracies and flaws, I wouldn't know. The results are very good indeed!
