Hey guys, got a quick question. I’ve seen photos of the AV-8B with the AAQ-28 II lightening Pod on the centerline pylon.
Does anybody have a clear photo reference of the centerline pylon on the AV-8B?
they seem super rare to see due to the strakes and or gun pod.
Thanks

Cheers

I do. However, before I share them, what purpose will they be used for?

Thanks guys, I ordered FL pylons already here in EU. I am trying to find the correct position for the centerline pylon. I am thinking of going with the Gun rather than just the strakes.

Since I have you on the line Dave - I saw the AAQ-28 in your line, given I know almost nothing ot the Litening Pods, what are the differences of the left right and stowed? Which one would be the best to most accurately depict a parked AV-8B? Are the pods “stowed” meaning the orbital sensor eye is turned inwards on the ground (parked)?

As well, can the AV-8B have three GBU smart munitions on the triple ejector rack on one pylon? I’m thinking, two sidewinders on outboard pylons, them smart munitions on the #2 and #6 stations, with two 300 Gal fuel tanks on the #3 and #5 stations.

Or, is it more realistic that this aircraft would carry two GBU smart munitions on the triple ejector rack on one side?

Thanks guys

Cheers

Alan
