mozart Posted August 1 Posted August 1 It has been a real pleasure to make this deceptively simple kit, designed and printed by Tim Perry. The thought and precision that has gone into the early stages of the design has meant that all parts, and I literally mean ALL parts, fit like a glove, the caveat being that the modeller has to clean up all the "pips" left by the support arms thoroughly. Tim has designed a really pleasurable kit without shadow of doubt. I think mine will just have to be in one of the inter-war fighter squadrons 'what if'. I'm leaning towards 56 Sqn with all that space for red and white checkerboards on that huge parasol wing and fuselage sides. Bit of olivey-green anti-dazzle on the nose and polished metal cowling panels... geedubelyer, MikeC and mozart 3
Hubert Boillot Posted August 1 Posted August 1 Well done Tim for designing this gem, and Max for rendering it justice in such an excellent way. A really worthy contender fro a 30s fighter, but it had one too few wing for the RAF, I guess. Anyway, a great reminder that silver wings are (almost) on par with yellow wings on my list !
