RCPlym Posted July 7 Posted July 7 A pretty little Folland Gnat... I spent a bit of time away from the monstrous wing and tail prints for the Victor (all done now ready to assemble!) and decided to investigate how to print from a fileset specifically stated: "Model is not 3D printable" Printed parts are hollow and dimensions are very good overall. Much work to do in figuring out the various 'accessory' bits, but they are all there in the fileset as myriad individual pieces. The cockpit design alone is made up of well over 200 tiny pieces that have no 'solid' body that will print - apparently! 😜 Anthony in NZ, Archimedes, scvrobeson and 12 others 15

Very clever what you have done Thanks 👍 It is a lot of trial and error to find the best/only programs that can make the files printable. Very often things look fine on a particular program, but when converted into printable files, they turn to slop. Then it's back to square one. I do think in the end some just will not play ball and I'll have to continue learning the 3D design black arts to design bits and pieces! Archimedes and Anthony in NZ 2
