Here is my Great Wall Hobby 1/48 Warthog, built to represent a plane from the 354th Fighter Squadron "Bulldogs" deployed to Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, in 2017 to fly missions into Syria and Iraq. I think I may have added more aftermarket accessories to this kit than any other I've built:

- Eduard photo-etched HUD

- Mini Craft Collection Aces II ejection seat

- Quinta Studio 3D cockpit decals

- Quickboost opened fuel access panel

- ASK GAU canon head with cover

- Detail & Wonder landing gear

- Master pitot tube

- Eduard GBU-38s

- Eduard AGM-65

- ResKit GBU-31

- ResKit GBU-12s

I painted the model with Mr Hobby Aqueous and Tamiya acrylics. The decals are mostly from Speed Hunter Graphics (48017 War-Weary Warthogs), but I used a few of the kit's decals as well. I've been working on this off and on for well over a year, so I'm glad it's finally done!

Any critiques are most welcome!

Very nice. Great weathered finish. How was the GWH A-10 to build?

Hi @crobinsonh

The kit went together very well and was enjoyable to build. Not quite Tamiya quality, but fairly close. I was very disappointed with the weapons, though. They seemed like they were from older molds and lacked the crispness of the rest of the parts, which is why I replaced most of them with aftermarket items.

Cheers,

Justin
