Kawaman1960 Posted July 5 Posted July 5 Hi all. I'm looking for a good seated Japanese ( navy ) pilot with helmet on. I don't usually do flying aircraft but picking up another ZM J7W1 v.cheap from a charity shop has got me doing the " what if " 1946 thing. Any leads appreciated. Cheers Alan
Paul in Napier Posted July 5 Posted July 5 ICM has a set (One Japanese, Italian and German) 32111 WWII Axis Pilots in the cockpit
Bob MDC Posted July 5 Posted July 5 Hi, We have this guy, https://www.modeldesignconstruction.co.uk/?store-page=1-32-SEATED-JAPANESE-PILOT-p670168821 designed for the Zero/Rufe but should be fairly easy to fit most Japanese aircraft. Bob
Thunnus Posted July 6 Posted July 6 Hasegawa has some nice seated pilots in their kits. This is from the Shiden Kai... RBrown, Gary Needham and HB252 3
Kenneth Joy Posted July 6 Posted July 6 The Pacific war in model building...especially figures is woefully lacking....like a 1000 to 1 compared to German figures. Bob at MDC (Above) is absolute pleasure to buy from. He goes above and beyond. Buy from him! You won't be sorry Ken
Kawaman1960 Posted July 6 Author Posted July 6 Hi and thanks for the info. I intend to model my J7W1 in flying mode ( a first for me in 1/32 ) depicting a B29 interception so I'd like to get a pilot with an oxygen mask and googles on but I think that asking a bit much by the sounds of it. I see the Hasegawa's Hi 61 has a pilot head with a mask on which is better than nothing. Anyone got spare figure from that kit they'd like to part with? Cheers Alan Thunnus 1
Thunnus Posted July 6 Posted July 6 Hey that pic looks familiar! I would offer you that pilot from the Hasegawa Hien kit but I dissected the head and used just the mask portion on my build.
Kawaman1960 Posted July 6 Author Posted July 6 Dissected the head - sounds messy. Never mind, maybe something else / another might turn up. I've not got the cockpit done yet so some time in hand. Cheers Alan
