Brian Lewis Posted June 17 Posted June 17 (edited) Hello All, New member here just wanted to show some of my work. Ive mostly only posted on Facebook in the 1/18 groups but wanted to venture out into modeling groups or forms to get around more so modelers rather than just collectors. I 3d modeled everything for this B25J and printed it on Bambu labs P1S printers using all PLA filament and vacuum formed the canopy, top turrent, side gunner windows and tail gunner canopy. Total weight just at 5lbs the wings are removable for shipping and storage I made the first one Betty's Dream for my collection and afterwards made one for a customer. I'll be posting more in the next coming days of other projects I finished or currently working on. Hope y'all enjoy thanks. https://photos.app.goo.gl/vvvQKzYHH1p4JSGv9 https://photos.app.goo.gl/n462U8QuVdEvB1yQ8 Edited June 17 by Brian Lewis JayBee, John Stambaugh, geedubelyer and 23 others 26
LSP_Kevin Posted June 18 Posted June 18 Welcome aboard! That's an impressive feat of both 3D modelling and model building. I've taken the liberty of moving your topic to the Ready for Inspection section, where it more appropriately belongs. Kev
LSP_Ray Posted June 18 Posted June 18 You did that with a filament printer? That is impressive! geedubelyer 1
Warbird Kid Posted June 23 Posted June 23 Brian! So good to see you joined the ranks here and are now able to share some of your awesome work you've done in the field of 1/18th aircraft! Welcome!
Confusionreigns178 Posted June 23 Posted June 23 Excellent, superlative, eye-catching work! For my money, Betty's Dream was the ultimate B-25J Strafer. In combat, seeing that bat-face with eight fifty-'cals bearing down on you must have been a terrifying experience. Thanks for sharing with us. Chris.
Mal_Belford Posted June 25 Posted June 25 Yaih...thats a big bird indeed, and it looks fantastic. And as others allready said, Welcome to this forum. And happy you posted here, yes FB is big but, nah left it 2021-22 lol. Prefer forums due specialized interest.
