At last, Fred's Shed's finest in glorious 1/32. I look forward to seeing this grow into a fine tribute to one of the most striking aircraft in existence.

If you are in the U.K. then you should visit Elvington near York and see the finest example of a Victor K2 in working condition. I am in awe already at the prospect of seeing this project coming to life alongside the Vulcan (priority the Victor of course).

for Barley you mean Hemp^_^

Yeah, this thread got me looking at the 1/72 Airfix kit, and Xtradecals - tempting - and I read it's Hemp, I guess that's what happens when you delve into parts of your brain which haven't seen daylight in decades.

What am I thinking...

Wondering whether to do a bomber, recce or tanker version, perhaps?

Edit: just seen this: "It will be a late 70 to mid 80's 55Sqn scheme.". That answers that one, and will teach me to post only after reading the entire thread

A contender for one of the most beautiful aeroplanes ever in my book.

Mine too.

As for doing it in 1/32, I must channel Pvt Fraser: "Madness! Shee..eer Madness!"

Good luck!

Now this is one incredibly ambitious project. Can't even fathom the amount of real estate that will be needed for this once it's done. It'll need its own shed.

And... "We're doomed!"

(I may be with this lunacy! Especially with a Vulcan underway as well!)

Wall art.

Imagine the three V bombers arranged in a fan display on the mancave wall.

What a huge model and a huge undertaking but, if there's ever anyone daft enough to try I can think of no-one more suited to the task. (Meant as a compliment ;))

I'll be watching with intense fascination

I suspect that will turn out to be an understatement of epic proportion! 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣

Oh yeah! The printer changes everything....

I saw the  Victor at Duxford when it languished outside in the 90's. I guess they restored it and she's inside now. It's the T- tail which does it for me.

Good luck!
