Associated workflow (high level ) is?…. I get that 3D printers come in many sizes, are designed for different filaments and I would expect generate different quality of output. How / where can someone navigate that jungle to divine price / brand / output options matrix? Trust these are intelligent questions …. 😳😎🤣

Trust these are intelligent questions …. 😳😎🤣 Printers to get the extremely fine detail seen on the myriad parts/models seen on here are not of the filament type. The printers for very fine quality use a liquid resin that the printer 'cures' a 'sliced' image exposed layer by layer until a solid form emerges. Think of hundreds (thousands for most prints!) of pieces of paper with a thin different part of the item on each piece stacked up one at a time. The software used to get from image to printed object also varies a lot. Some can do it in effectively one stop. Upload the image, the software AI processes it into a printable file, the file is then optimised with supports etc. and it is then sent to the printer. Other ways are to upload the image to an online service that uses AI to produce a file that is downloaded. Then that file is processed by the software the printer needs to convert it to a format the printer understands. There are other ways - loads of them! Edited June 12 by RCPlym OzzieNick 1

I can certainly help and advise on the use of Rhino, but others will have to pitch in for other programs. Think of it as if they are musical instruments; they all make music, but learning the trombone is quite different to using a church organ.... They are all different, but they are all the same in that they all need lots of lovely PRACTISE!! Once the design is complete, export the model as an .stl file, which is a mesh model format, which can then be used by the printer setup software to orientate it and add the requires support structure, that then gets sliced into a stack of contours, which the printer uses to reconstruct the shape in layers and layers of thin plastic, bonded together, and your shape is replicated.
