With resin printing, ANY form of enclosed spaces is a very, very bad thing. Closed volumes cause suction which can, and does cause layer 'shifts' that ruin prints. Also it is a VERY VERY bad thing if resin cannot be completely cleaned out of prints. In time, it will cause cracking and leak out. Disaster! If there is an internal support structure, it must have holes to allow resin to escape and prevent suction effects when the build plate rises and falls to print each layer. Also it has to allow free access to cleaning solvents to get in and out.

Also with resin printing, the only thing that affects printing time is the time it takes to complete each layer of the item. It takes no more time to print a solid article than the same sized hollow piece. Likewise, as an example it takes no difference in time to print one 25mm high item than it does to print ten.

 

Only in the FDM type printing where filament extrusion is used takes longer for solid items and quantity of items.

 

The Draken wing will be very interesting to see when the model finally hits its buyers desks! 

For my view on this, I don't think they will be able to produce 'layer line free' wings simply due to orientation restraints and not be able to completely eliminate warping. Hope I'm wrong!
