Just pleasant, knowledgeable people who are into models from all around the world, willing to share that knowledge. And technically the site and forums are balanced: a sufficient number without too many sections. mozart Posted May 4 Posted May 4 (edited) Yep, I think it’s because the vast majority of us like and respect each other despite the numerous innate differences and potential pitfalls of nationality, subject interest, experience and skill level, age etc etc. And whilst I may occasionally disagree with them, it’s well moderated. Particular mention of course must be made of the inimitable Kevin Futter, who is the steady hand at the helm of the Forum. And when you have the likes of Peter Castle making this his modelling “home”, and Will of DBMK and Mark of Kotare posting on a personal basis, it all adds gravitas to the site. In addition to @airscale, @Mark Robson and others there are also other contributors, industry insiders, who go about their business here without fanfare ( e.g. @Radub or @rsanz)and make very real inputs. There are even deceased members whose historic contributions are valuable resources to this day. In case anyone had any doubt: Yes, this really is the best site for scale modelling anyone will find. I don't get that kind of condescending attitude /treatment here. I also feel that I'm conversing with some of the most knowledgeable people in the modeling world and feel privileged to be here.
