Out2gtcha Posted May 2 Posted May 2 This will be my first build in a year or two! I'm anxious to get back to it, but the last year or 2 I've been doing some 3D printing and finishing. The 3D print finishing KILLED my model room with a ton of dust and sanding debris that went in every crack and crevice. The new DBMK Hornet Mk 3 with its solid build rep (so far) and OOB 3D printed parts, seemed like a perfect candidate to get back into the swing of model building before I tackle my CH-53. Thanks to confirmation from Andy on schemes, I settled on this night type scheme from 19 Squadron, PX332: The kit itself looks amazing, with some great looking 3D printed parts: I even managed to get a replacement clear panel for the top of my paint booth which completed the complete re-do of my model room, making it fully ready for model building. Hopefully some progress soon! Cheers, LSP_Kevin, Kagemusha, Dpgsbody55 and 19 others 21 1

Out2gtcha Posted May 2 Author Posted May 2 Thanks gents. I'm hoping to make a start tonight. The only change it looks like Ill be making is the custom scheme. Otherwise this should be all OOB. Martinnfb 1
Out2gtcha Posted May 3 Author Posted May 3 Got a tiny bit O progress..... Got some of the cockpit parts glued into 1 side of the fuse. Also got a lot of the 3D printed parts off their supports while I had to let my new Hanboost knife charge. Still managed to get the seat and a lot of pit parts off cleanly with some side cutters: I also got a decent start on the OOB PE harness as well: More later! Jim Barry Posted May 3 Posted May 3 Good to see you back building, Brian. DH…nice. I noticed on the forum you built a DH.2 . That’s my current scratch project. Enjoy this one! What a sweet plane! Out2gtcha, Martinnfb and Mal_Belford 2 1
Out2gtcha Posted May 6 Author Posted May 6 Thanks gents! Got a tiny bit of paint and weathering splashed around on the cockpit parts and fuse interior, but nothing is quite finished or assembled yet. In my typical fashion nothing perfect here or even that special, but but feels good to be back in the saddle! Thanks for looking in on me wunwinglow, Landrotten Highlander, LSP_Kevin and 23 others 26
