Yes!!! https://than.gs/m/1548168 Nicely done, but the woman's hairstyle you have modelled would have been uncommon in the UK in the 1940's. Long hair would generally have been much shorter, or if long, styled to be shorter. Edit: just saw the source photo and she is in uniform. Long hair ... Highly doubtful historically. Jim Barry Posted May 12 Author Posted May 12 I understand. I went for the effect of her being attractive to today's viewer. I do hear you, she could have short realistic hair and be attractive. Maybe it's me!

However, my critique still applies. Considering the historic accuracy most of us plastic bashers strive for, I think you may have missed the ball with this one. Go on... Give her a period hair do as an alternative figure set? 😜🤣🤣🤣🤣 Edited May 12 by RCPlym
quang Posted May 12 Posted May 12 I don’t know anything about military uniform but I doubt there were any woman in WWII Europe with Pantene wave hair. 🙃 RCPlym and mozart 2
Jim Barry Posted May 12 Author Posted May 12 And just some business insight.. So far my sales are 99% custom. The things I post are more like ads. I'd like more off the shelf sales, but it's not happening...yet anyway. I do appreciate the feedback here and what people want....realism! (i.e. Jim..don't go Hollywood on us!
Jim Barry Posted May 12 Author Posted May 12 (edited) Alt head. Thanks @mozart for the images. I gave her a little makeover but I would say this is the period correct version. Edited May 12 by Jim Barry RCPlym and patricksparks 2
mozart Posted May 12 Posted May 12 Much, much better Jim! Look at any of the stars in the Hollywood films of that era and you’ll see similar hairstyles, and even my mum who was around 20 years old in the mid-1940s: chukw 1
Jim Barry Posted May 14 Author Posted May 14 Shapeways via Thangs did a great job with my Rickenbacker and Bader figs. Here primed in 1/24 Gazzas, patricksparks and LSP_Ray 3

Jim Barry Posted May 18 Author Posted May 18 Alright. The revised couple is out there now! Ended up with a mixed file of old and new. Oddly the skirt has some lines but I did not want to mess with a successful design lest the software make a worse revision update. I saw some weird hands going in the process today. @RCPlym https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/various/raf-ww2-couple-goodbye mozart 1
