csavaglio Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Thai is showing a 10% sale for his birthday, although in checkout, it just showed for prev customers, so not sure if that's for everyone or how long it's on for. I just pre-ordered the version with decals and it was just under $255 shipped. allthumbs and Troy Molitor 2
easixpedro Posted March 4 Posted March 4 ohhh! Super excited about this! Wonder what the parts break down will be - as in can I order without ldg gear as I want gear up? That being said, the price seems quite reasonable… Gonna have to build a Brubaker jet maybe from the Bridges at Toko Ri, or maybe a snow scene from the horrible 1950 winter at Chosin… -Peter allthumbs and CRAZY IVAN5 2
easixpedro Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Aaaand just pulled the trigger. Zero self control for GSB Grumman products. Looking forward to this one! ThunderDog, allthumbs and Dennis7423 3
allthumbs Posted March 5 Author Posted March 5 (edited) I have one of their 1:48 A-1E Skyraiders, with a large scale edition of the same on order. The detail is quite impressive. And it’s apparent that the designer was a subject matter expert, indeed a true SPAD aficionado. Missed out on the Fisher Panthers, so I just might submit to the same GSB jet temptation! -Rich Edited March 5 by allthumbs Troy Molitor, scvrobeson and easixpedro 3
Troy Molitor Posted March 5 Posted March 5 I really want this kit. But! I need to see the parts up front and personal before ordering. Any help here gent's? I don't need a bunch of 3D printed waves to sand down on all the components. If you know what I mean. D Bellis, firefly7, John1 and 2 others 5
D Bellis Posted March 5 Posted March 5 I'd like to see some parts, too. Still ordered the F9F-2B with decals anyway, but seeing the parts of his other kits would sure be nice. D DugyB 1

DugyB Posted March 5 Posted March 5 (edited) Good lord, my wallets gonna take a shellacking, I guess I can stop following the Fisher Ebay listing now? This one is so tempting, been waiting for years for a plastic release …. 🤔 Edited March 5 by DugyB easixpedro and Martinnfb 2
TBC Posted March 5 Posted March 5 I’m in if he does an F9F-5. I really like the look of a Panther with both sets of flaps dropped, so I hope that is an option. DugyB 1

Such an awesome aircraft. 🤔 I think the main difference is the fuselage length forward of the intakes - others more familiar with the type will no doubt correct me if I'm wrong and add more info. I dare say it's possible, but it would be beyond my skills and inclination. DugyB 1
