This will be an in service aircraft in the grey over white camo.

Originally this aircraft was supposed to carry 50 cal machine guns in the outboard wing pods. But as time went on the guns were replaced with Sidewinders. Or so my story goes....

Here are the cockpit consoles and IP.

And most of the paint work...

Looking forward to seeing this one painted. I'm imagining a NMF with the big arctic wing patches of red on it.

Well actually Matt, no.

This will be a grey over white fleet aircraft. Exact markings TBD.

"The original files are in 1/100th scale. I will need to enlarge the files by 300% to get to 1:32nd scale."

Should the increase be 312.5% to get to 1/32nd?

100/32 x 100= 312.5%

I have had a right Royal pita with scale issues over the past two days! Don't ask! 😂😂😂😂

Well, never argue with the numbers.

The scale of the original files was guesstimated at 1/100. However the actual aircraft is 32 feet tall, soooooo the 1/32 scale model should stand 1 ft tall.  That was how I got to my needed scale up. I measured the files and scaled them up until I got 12 inches nose to tail.

This happens a lot when dealing with files purchased online. Each designer uses their favorite scale to draw in, and it is not readily apparent when viewing the files in Fusion 360. I always measure the drawings and compare to actual aircraft dimensions.

It looks correct and a random 1/32 ejection seat fits neatly into the cockpit.

Working on the tail markings. I looked for cool graphics online and settled on this Hammerhead design.

So I copied the design onto a piece of paper and cut it out.

I then transferred the design to some masking tape and applied it to the tail.

And I painted it in a dark grey.

Also some decals on the IP.
