Hi guys,

I would appreciate your help on which size to use to simulate hydraulic lines on landing gear.
Thanks,

Jim

0.5mm and up here, way cheaper than fishing shops.

I just found this on AliExpress:
£3.75 | Lead-free Solder Wire Sn99.3/Cu0.7 High Purity Soldering Wire Roll for Electronic Repair Environmental Protection tin Wire Flux
https://a.aliexpress.com/_EwSjJPe

Probably even cheaper with a proper search.

What they don't tell you at Bass Pro is the sizes.  My kit has the following sizes:  0.010", 0.015", 0.020", 0.025", 0.030", and 0.035".  I've had this set for several years and am only just getting to the end of one of the spools (0.010").

Seeing as the OP is in the United States, ordering from without the U.S. may present additional costs otherwise not incurred in a domestic order (aka Tariffs, etc.).  If I had to  reorder more (and I will some day), I'd get the same stuff.  Right now, $30 (plus tax and shipping most likely) is VERY economical when the spools last for years.

True, there is seemingly less need for some of the larger sizes, but Ive used some out of every spool myself, and considering what I paid for it initially, Id still say worthwhile.

No idea where the chap is based, but the tariffs the US currently has in place can be a deal killer. ☹️

Indeed, James is in the US.

Its an awful situation for sure. Even sending anything overseas is seemingly impossible rn.
