That lovely looking plane needs to be modelled….even more so because it was originally made a few miles down the road from me.

Notice, pics of the real one is in its earlier format with a single pair of 'cabane' struts on the centre line, and the early wings with the long, tapered ailerons. The advert, and my model, represent the rebuilt Mk II, which had a different engine, an 'improved' wing, and a lot of other little changes. The conventional cabane struts are another ident feature. It is/was such a pretty aeroplane! I am not being too precious about this design, there is a great deal I don't know, so a lot is coming from contemporary images and kits. Or being guessed at. Or just omitted! Aim is to finish this one. I have too many stalled projects, held up in my head because of piffling gaps in my knowledge. I think, with age advancing and all that that entails, I have given myself a bit of a kick to actually finish these, while I can!!

Oh, that and wear out the tyres on the Kawasaki!

Been there, done that Tim....in fact it's where I'm at with the Anson really, a self-imposed "mental block" because I'm not sure that something is quite right.  So what I'm going to do is just move on because most people (ie, that's the queue waiting at my door to see my models!! ) won't know the difference anyway.  I hadn't noticed the different cabane struts on the Wizard for instance, let alone the ailerons.  Just crack on my friend, and as soon as the weather warms up and it stops raining come down for breakfast on the Kwacker!

Spot the difference!! A whole day's work, and it hardly shows, but all the struts have been cored for wire, control surfaces pinned, fuel tank riveted, gun sight basic structure, and a lot of surface details added. I need to spar the wings with stainless tubing, and then fill up the cockpit, but hoping to get the main parts on the printer at the weekend.626775017_25615201311505739_755282315252

I'll be down as soon as I can!
