Ayovan Posted March 26 Author Posted March 26 (edited) I got a clear coat on and did the panel lines with Mig Oilbrusher black. All the major decals are applied, and all the little parts n pieces are getting painted and applied. This is the part I find satisfying. Seeing it all come together. James Rademaker Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Nice job on the 109. It’s coming along very well. Just one more question regarding the KW decals, did you use any decal softener to get them to snuggle down? Thanks, Jim Martinnfb and Ayovan 2

I removed the surface detail on the kit IP then applied the decals to it. The 3D printed decal has it's own surface detail. I only left the step between the main section of the IP and the upper section. The decals are separate for both sections. Edited March 27 by Ayovan Martinnfb 1
Ayovan Posted March 27 Author Posted March 27 (edited) I finished up the main gear, flaps, and leading edge slats last night. I fubared the paint on one slat when for whatever unexplainable reason,I decided to pick it up to look at while the clear coat was wet...(dumbaxx) There's a do over. When I started this I kind of thought it was a bland paint scheme. After getting it painted and decaled...It has a lot more to it than I first thought. All done except for a few small parts. I'll post some pictures after it's finished Greif8 and Martinnfb 2
Mark P Posted March 30 Posted March 30 Looks great! This aircraft always holds a sentimental value to me as it is what started me on my path with Jerry Crandall. Looking forward to the finished product! Mark Proulx Ayovan, Martinnfb and Shoggz 3
williamj Posted March 30 Posted March 30 (edited) Great looking 109,👍 and they kept the Hartmann markings long after the war. Edited March 30 by williamj Ayovan 1
Ayovan Posted March 30 Author Posted March 30 Thank you guys. Plenty of mistakes on it, but the overall look is good. Back when I did RC planes I built several stand-off scale planes. Form a distance...they looked scale. That's kind of how this one turned out. From a distance. Just don't look too close. LOL
