Mike Maben?

A notable absentee from our modelling community since 5 December is Mike Maben. Anybody heard from him at all? I sent him a PM but no response to date.

I was thinking about Mike when I was working on the C202, he commented on the trailing edges of the wings and I realised then that I had not seen any of his post recently, I hope he is OK.

He's a member on Britmodeller, but his last visit there was December 5th, hope he's on vacation somewhere nice, warm, and sunny.

I hope I’m wrong but a Mike Maben from Lewiston ( Maine?) passed away on December 4, 2025. I just googled his name and the obit popped up. The gentleman that passed had a long beard in the pic, but I think it might be him.

I dont think its him, as its not Mike's birthday. According to his profile Mike's B-day is 04/12/1952 and that gents b-day was June 5, 1961.

Mike is from Oregon and that gent was being laid to rest in Lewistown, PA on the other side of the country, so I'm hoping it's not him.

I do hope Mike is OK.  He makes a big contribution around here and his absence is noticeable.  Maybe he's just out and about in that lovely '56 Chevy he owns.
