Kenneth Posted January 2 Posted January 2 (edited) Supposing I would want to add e.g. one or two interior lights, wingtip red/green position lights, a landing light and a flashing red anti-collision beacon to an LSP-kit, is anyone aware of any suitable (LED) systems, with controller and power supply, which one could simply plug together in the desired configuration? Asking because I have zero theoretical and practical knowledge of electronics … There are some for LEGO kits, but they appear too bulky for a plastic kit, and then there are the kit-specific systems here, but they don‘t cover the aircraft I have in mind, and I don‘t need the motors. red Dog Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Check here as well https://www.magicscalemodeling.com/ Made a B-25 with one of their first kit a decade ago. Their leds and engines are tiny, their kit are very easy to manage as they made it error proof, their lights are not too bright which is often the case and highly unnatural, They have specific kits and general ones and as a customer I must say their support was always great I have no link with the company I am just a happy customer A-10LOADER, Kenneth and LSP_Kevin 2 1
Tecnikit Posted January 4 Posted January 4 (edited) It is no so easy. There are "easy" combinations in youtube but usually are bad ways... An electronics specialist will tell you to use an NE555 component. Other systems can be dangerous if their temperature isn't monitored. There are a lot in Internet. But the problem always is to search the correct timing for the flashing. And as you can see, the realistic effect is a light going from zero to 100% in a progresive way of 1/2 second. That is made using the condenser. There are minicuircuits in the market. https://www.tinytronics.nl/en/tools-and-mounting/soldering/diy-soldering-kits/ne555-led-blink-module-diy-kit Javier Povedano Tecnikit.com Edited January 4 by Tecnikit Kenneth 1
