List of Add-ons made for the Tamiya Kit.

-MCC 3D printed F-14 Tomcat Wheel Bay
-Detail and Wonder 3D printed Landing gear
-Red Fox F-14D Instrument Panels
-Eduard Brassin F-14D  GE engine exhaust burner cans for the Tamiya kit. I hope these are good. The last Brassin parts I got tor my Corsair build were shyte and never fit properly.

Nice.  I really enjoyed the F-14A kit I did a couple years ago.  Looking forward to seeing this come around.

Thanks Chuck. Hopefully I can do it justice. There are a lot of very nicely done F-14's on this forum.

Hi Guys,

Here's the work on the Ejection seats. I am pretty happy with how they turned out with the exception of the ejection handles. The resin ones were very thin and broke so I made some out of lead wire. They turned out okay but I had a heck of a time trying to paint the ultra thin black stripes over the yellow base paint. After like 3 times I went with what you see here. Not great but from a modelers distance I think they will pass.

MCC makes some really nice stuff. I think they came out looking really good. Once they're in the cockpit I'm sure they'll be fine.

One of you guys asked what paint scheme I plan to do.

It will be this one. A CAG F-14D from VF-2 (Now VFA-2) Bounty Hunters.

The GAG  F-14D A/C alongside it's replacement a F/A-18F Super Hornet.

CAG's F-14D in tight formation with a non CAG F-14D.

Hi Guys,

Here's another update. Things have been pretty busy for me over the last month and haven't had much bench time. I did manage to get the landing gear done. The front wheels were a real challenge as the rims didn't fit the tires. Lots of sanding a shaving of the rims and tires to get the rims to fit. The mail gear was fine. After painting the gear and rims gloss white I gave everything a light wash (except the front wheels, still need to do that) and painted the cable/hydraulic lines per reference photos I have. Everything is dry fitted at this point.
