1/32 C-47

Why has no (affordable) C-47 been released yet? With all the nations and operators that have used the Skytrain, it mast be a hugely  model, right?

I Hope Trumpeter make an 1/32 scale C-47 in 2026!!

What we really need is a G4m Betty bomber from HK models!

Still, a 1/32nd C-47 would in fact be a very large model and in an injection molded models case, would have very large & expensive molds making the end product likely a more expensive model.

If the prices are the same as the HK Bombers, I'll definitely buy a few.

I've built the 1/32 HPH offering it is indeed huge. Takes a bit of work but is well worth the effort.

I would have to estimate the costs would be similar with aircraft of similar size and engine count.

 

However, keep in mind the C-47 is still quite a bit larger than a typical HK Bomber like the B-25 (by a good 30')

Somewhere between the B-25 and B-17 would be fine, even similar like the B-17 would Persua me to buy a couple.

Twas indeed and |I agree, I too wish i could have afforded another before they went bump. 2nd hand ones now are a ridiculous price!

I'm thinking being a transport with no guns (save Puff) also probably has a bit to do with the decision not to have a 32nd model yet.

 

I'd agree it's a very well known airframe that a large amount of countries used.

I'd love one to do a civil DC-3 - probably in early TAA or Qantas livery.
