LSP_Kevin Posted June 5 Author Posted June 5 Thanks, fellas. I managed to fix the improperly seated landing gear leg and get all the remaining fiddly bits on. Of course, as I was gluing the prop into place, a drop of Extra Thin cement landed on the cowling and ate into the paint! So another quick repair job was required there. In the end I opted to forgo any clear coats, partly because I ran out of time, and partly because the finish was exactly where I wanted it to be without one. LSP_Kevin Posted June 7 Author Posted June 7 (edited) Cheers, fellas. The results are in, and the Sea Fury scored a Commended. This means that it passed the technical knock-out round of judging, but wasn't in the running for a place. First went to an impressive and overwhelming B-17. The Sea Fury did, however, generate a lot of attention and discussion, which was nice. After not being interested in competing for a long time now, I find my competitive juices starting to flow again! And it was great to catch up with so many LSP members, KLP customers, and general modelling buddies. I'll update this thread with a final post in the coming days.
