Looks fantastic in the box, will definitely get one or two.  I wonder how it compares to Paul Fishers kit? Be interesting to find out since I still have one in the stash.

Wow, this is exciting!  It looks like an LSP-exclusive.  Looking forward to seeing more of this kit since I am unfamiliar with this company.  In terms of molding detail, it seems to compare favorably with Special Hobby's Tempest release.

Thanks, John. More of a KLP-exclusive, actually. But to not run a build thread here would be depriving myself of all the helpful knowledge and advice that exists in this community, all of which would contribute not only to a better finished model, but a better build guide at the end.

 

And I'd say this kit is a considerable step up from the Special Hobby Tempest, though I confess to never having owned the latter kit.

This kit will be an order of magnitude superior to the Hobbycraft one, but that old clunker might make for a fun build anyway! (I seem to remember that it's most egregious fault was having the wing aerofoil section upside-down.

I've finally found some time to sit down with this kit, but since I still don't have the instructions, I'm a bit hamstrung in what I can actually do. I decided to start by removing the major airframe parts from their runners, cleaning them up, and taping them all together:

 

 

The top of the forward fuselage, including the windscreen cut-out, is a separate piece, but you'd never know. The arrangement of the wing-to-fuselage join looks a little fussy, but I have every confidence that it'll be no problem.
