phantom Posted November 2 Posted November 2 I am looking for the above figures plus maintenance personnel. Does anyone produce these figures? I am in t planning stages for a B-24 diorama. Mike
Christa Posted November 2 Posted November 2 For 1:32 USAF bomber crew and ground crew figures try Legends, Reskit, Black Dog, Aero Bonus, ICM, Gdkits and an outfit I have seen on Ebay UK selling a ten piece set for £50, but I cannot recall the brand. That company produces the same resin figures in several scales, as do others. Good luck Mike. Chris

Gary Needham Posted November 2 Posted November 2 Another option. I bought this 1/32 set by 'AC Models' and it is excellent HTH Gary https://picclick.co.uk/AC-Models-USAAF-B17-Crew-10-figures-inc-183318121220.html
thierry laurent Posted November 3 Posted November 3 If you're not in a hurry, check regularly the Modelu website as their military range is quickly expanding. Up to know they only released USAAF fighter pilots but this evolves nearly on a monthly basis: https://www.modelu3d.co.uk/collections/ww2-usaaf
mozart Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Modelu are really going for it and producing some original but much needed figures. I just wish they’d get their moulding a bit sharper.
Gary Needham Posted Tuesday at 03:44 PM Posted Tuesday at 03:44 PM (edited) 3D provides some superb detail and anatomy and perhaps it's just me, but why do they seemingly and predominantly have to produce them depicting people who look to be in their 30's and 40's rather than men in their prime as late teens/early 20's as fighter pilots (previous wars) would be? Reedoak for example seem to base many of theirs on real people or re-enactors who look to be in their 40's+ and no amount of fantastic detail and print quality can compensate for then looking just 'wrong'. Likewise, these linked ones (above) showing the WW2 USAAF fighter pilots, as depicted they all look to be well into their 30's both facially and physiologically and nothing like the youthful faces we see peering at us from period B&W photographs. spreckair2 Posted Wednesday at 12:48 AM Posted Wednesday at 12:48 AM @Gary Needham Look at pictures of WWII crew. They might be in their 20's, but they look like they are in their 30's by today's standards. mozart and Greif8 2

Some haircuts along with the stress and rigors of war itself made them look older (facially) at first glance I agree, but you don't see them in period photos even allowing for bulky flight suits with 3D reenactment fuller faces and paunches etc.
quang Posted Wednesday at 10:40 AM Posted Wednesday at 10:40 AM Neo-zealander Andy Cairns of AC Models does some great WWII bomber crews in 1/32. Realistic poses and credible looks even if the sculpting style is somewhat dated.
