jeroenpeters Posted October 22, 2025 Author Posted October 22, 2025 Most of the basic shapes are there and seem to check out. The hollow tubes on the base-plate and the side of the handle are to stick a long carrying bar in. This way the jack could be transported by either two men side by side, or one pulling and one pushing. Landrotten Highlander, Greif8, patricksparks and 3 others 6
jeroenpeters Posted October 23, 2025 Author Posted October 23, 2025 Drew the cradle, but left out the 'hammock', since I'll make that from masking tape. Only need to measure the exact height of the tail, in order to determine the height of the arm. Shoggz, Landrotten Highlander, Greif8 and 2 others 5
jeroenpeters Posted October 23, 2025 Author Posted October 23, 2025 Almost ready for the details and thinking about how to divide the parts for optimal 3D printing. Greif8, LSP_Kevin, Dany Boy and 3 others 6
Hagar Posted October 24, 2025 Posted October 24, 2025 I just got my kit today and after watching this thread I have also ordered an engine for it. Do you sell the stl files you make? I'd be very interested in the engine mount file. Looking forward to more of your build. James Knaus

Greif8 Posted October 24, 2025 Posted October 24, 2025 Awesome 3D design skills Jeroen, something I have zero talent at. I am sure the 3D printed items will look great as well. Ernest

Mal_Belford Posted October 24, 2025 Posted October 24, 2025 Cant wait to see that lifting trolley being 3D printed. yaih...would easily have that in a diorama.
jeroenpeters Posted October 25, 2025 Author Posted October 25, 2025 First alclad on the interior and engine geedubelyer, patricksparks, LSP_Kevin and 11 others 14
jeroenpeters Posted October 26, 2025 Author Posted October 26, 2025 That's the Herkules II done. I put the P.1101 on its feet as a dry fit to measure the height of the tail. About 6cm is what the Herkules should reach. As far as size of the Herkules I can only go by this photo. A Luftwaffe ground crew standing beside it and the nose of a Me163. Alsmost ready for a first 3D print. Mal_Belford, LSP_Kevin, Gazzas and 5 others 8
jeroenpeters Posted October 26, 2025 Author Posted October 26, 2025 This actually is a pretty easy kit to build. Quite enjoyable after a few Special Hobby projects… Greif8, Hans, VintageEagle and 9 others 12
jeroenpeters Posted October 27, 2025 Author Posted October 27, 2025 Ready for the first print. Hagar 1
jeroenpeters Posted October 27, 2025 Author Posted October 27, 2025 Great stuff. Read through the manual and found the dimensions. Length and width were almost spot on! denders, Hagar, Greif8 and 2 others 5
Thunnus Posted October 27, 2025 Posted October 27, 2025 Fascinating work on a very interesting subject. And you're adding home-brewed 3D-printed enhancements on top of that! Can't wait to see more. jeroenpeters 1
