I like Eduard, but I am very much in a wait and see mode as they have had no significant commitment to 1/32 with only one or two distinct toolings in the last 20 years.  We have not seen anything approaching final even on the P-51B.  The spitfire seems very credible although not very interesting, beyond that I think we are looking at 2028 if we get another all new kit.  An Eduard P-51 d/k is not going to impress me.  I will buy the B though when it comes out for sure.

@Jan_G Thanks for the info.  Sadly, that link appears to require registration on a page in what I think is the Czech language.

My bad Mike, they have some troubles with external multiple atempts on Modelforum so these days it's required to login to use it.

But generally no pictures so far, just the basic info from E-day attendees

there will only be limited editions for 1/32 releases similar to the 1/48 ones. If the line proves successful, more types will follow – those already designed in 3D

Haha! The line-up will save me a heap of unspent cash for the Revell Meteor & Hunter and a Red Pill F-4B Phantom II.

Glad for those that love the Wurger — imagine the D-9 will be popular.

I'll console myself with the new 1:48 Fishbed C.

I'm right with ya on that save for the -51B/C, but the rest, naw. Like you, this will save me some finances to  spend on the Revell Meteor and T.7 Hunter .

I think Mark Robson of Kotare mentioned that they will be making an announcement at Telford, so perhaps a fifties jet could be in the works.  Keep the faith.

Looking at these choices, it is easy to understand that Eduard decided to produce its 1/32 scale models based on the 1/48 scale ones that sold best. It is perfectly legitimate for a company to seek profitability, but we won't give Eduard the award for originality!!

Considering the existing offerings for all these models (except the P-51B), the market is saturated. I’m not a sales representative for Eduard, but it would be surprising if models like the F4F, P-39, P-40, MiG 21, A6M3, for example, wouldn't potentially sell well. As far as I'm concerned, the P-51 is fine, and zero for the rest.

I've said it before, and I will say it again. It will be a Spey Phantom.

Gotta say, I am glad that Eduard is releasing all this 1/32 stuff. Good on them, and more please.

I know you are joking but if a 1:48 Kōtare Halifax is being partly crowd funded by the modelling grassroots a Phantom is sadly beyond the realms of credibility.

On the other hand, something dinky and simple, like a Vampire T.11, T-33 or MiG-17F, would be utterly delightful. However, I suspect yet another propellery object.

Glad there are two new 1:32 players, and so wish them well.

Well, I’ll probably buy one of each. I’m late to the 1/32 party. While I built an old Revell P-51B, one of these is still an interest. There aren’t any spitfires on my shelf, so that will still be of interest. I do have an Fw190A8 but another won’t hurt and a D-9 is going to be a nice addition too.

Of course, there are lots of “would be nice” kits to add. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Spitfire, but do we really need another 1/32 version? Kotare have done an outstanding job with the early Spits and the Tamiya Spits are beautiful too, even the Revell one will do in a pinch if you are on a budget.

I'm curious to what Eduard are trying to achieve? Don't they realise that most LSP'ers have at least two or more in the stash already. Maybe I'm wrong and they will "WOW" us with this an engineering gem that has bells, whistles and laser beams to boot, but I'm not convinced. IMHO they have missed an opportunity.

Now where can I pre-order this new Spit? ...
