RBrown Posted September 4 Posted September 4 Vladimir Sulc confirms that Eduard is currently working on a Spitfire IX in conjunction with their P-51B. Additionally another 1/32 is in the works and will be announced on E Day. cbk57 Posted September 4 Posted September 4 I look foreword to seeing what the other 1/32 will be, Eduard is well positioned to do a Wildcat. Of course they are well positioned with most key subjects. I plan on getting the B when they release it, I won't get a MkIX as I have built enough of those. Martinnfb, firefly7, mudrat and 3 others 6

I saw something over on Rumourmonger about this and they're talking a MkVIII. I won't be getting those [ so what's wrong with the Tamiya spits anyway?]. Have to admit a Wildcat would nice however. Nothing is wrong with the Tamiya Spitfire kits, I think this is Eduard knowing they did a lot of work on the Spit and are probably prepared to release their own. I was trying to avoid though the why did they release x, cliche. I think you could go down the list of what Eduard has done, A6M3, Wildcat, Hellcat, 190, later 109G and so on series and find all sorts of subjects Eduard has researched and tooled to a high standard and would be in a great position to release a 1/32 kit. Anyway I think they will have a hit with the P-51B kit. Martinnfb, Phantom2, CRAZY IVAN5 and 2 others 5
Anthony in NZ Posted September 4 Posted September 4 (edited) Excuse my ignorance, when is E day? oooh maybe a P-40 family considering everything they have invested into that airframe for 1/48? Edited September 4 by Anthony in NZ D Bellis and cbk57 2

Tony T Posted September 4 Posted September 4 I'll pass on the Spitfire IX and P-51B and go straight to №3 if it's a MiG-21. One of Eduard's best-selling 1:48 range by all accounts with huge scope for subvariant releases. Anyway, we'll find out in 30 days' time. Tony Vali, Martinnfb, Anthony in NZ and 2 others 4 1

Google comes back with scant few options, none of which correspond to October 4th. In any case, I'm already standing in line to buy that 1/32 P-51B kit... D Martinnfb and Troy Molitor 2

While I'll get on board for -51B/C , the Mig -21 is a most definite sale for me. Martinnfb 1
MikeC Posted September 4 Posted September 4 Interesting, thanks. Wonder why another Mk IX, though, when there are already perfectly good Tamiya and Revell kits? As opposed to a V or a XIV? I can guess by looking at the list of aircraft equipping 310, 312 and 313 Sqns. But hey, I'm not complaining, bring 'em on! 35 minutes ago, D Bellis said: Anyone know what E Day is for or represents? Martinnfb Posted September 4 Posted September 4 +3 on MiG-21 ,,, in matter of fact, good luck beating Tamiya's Spitfire offering. CRAZY IVAN5 and cbk57 2

Indeed... unless they sell it for half of the price. Personally I would also prefer a Mig-21 or Wildcat family... Martinnfb, Stefano, CRAZY IVAN5 and 2 others 5

I've got the Tamiya MK VIII and it seems fine to me , some corrections needed in the cockpit [instrument panel and other small things but no great shakes]. read over on Britmodeller where they were also doing a MK XVI, [ got that one too]. They could've broke things wide open and started a series of Griffon spits just sayin'. MikeC 1
