I must confess I am not excited by the announcement.

I had different expectations concerning the next product release by Z-M.

Do we really need a “definitive” version of the G-4?

Not sure:shrug:

When mr. Shigeta-san will treat us with some more off-the-beaten-track subjects only Z-M can tackle with? A 1/32 Saiun or a Tenzan maybe? Hope my residual life expectancy can stand the challenge!

Time will tell.

I have to agree with you. Why ? Another -109, enough, enough already and I'm a -109 fan. A Tenzan would be a nice change of pace along with a number of other subjects............too numerous to list here or anywhere else. You just know that it would come with ALL the innards.

The G-2 kit is a derivative of the existing G-14 molds and is considerably less of an investment than creating a new Saiun or Tenzan from ground zero. The G-2 would likely outsell the the Saiun and Tezan combined.

No doubt a G-4 grants significant return with just an incremental investment over the previously released G-14.

No doubt a Gustav would outsell the whole pod of IJN mid-war planes.

You may add sales of a Suisei and a Ryusei to the count: the result would not change!

However Z-M already released lesser commercial subjects that made some modellers speculate more exotic birds would follow. They gave us a hint they can also produce models for the sake of pleasure.

I still hope they will in the future!

Ok, I'll concede that a Suisei or a Tenzan might be a little fringe, but a Hellcat or an Oscar sure isn't.

Ok but for God's sake when are we going to get the AS-engined versions...?

Has ZM mentioned an AS variant?

Good on them using there molds to the max , bugger all to change to bring the G-6/14 back to a g -4 , just wish they would make a version without all the internals . I think by the bf 109 K/G stamps on the Kotare K we will be seeing AS versions from them and you can back date a K if your keen .

Where is my Ki-100?????  I have more than enough Bf109's already but my stash is sorely lacking a 1/32 Ki-100!!!!  I hope it's not in the same bin with the "easy" version of the Fw190 that we were promised as well as the P-51B..et al.  I'm going to have to "inquire" about the current state of this kit at the IPMS Nationals....

Please do by all means! I was just wondering the same thing , we got -109s coming out our ears [ was going to say something else but this IS a family channel], I reckon I'm going to have to start my conversion to get the ball rollin'. Heck of a way to run a rail road!
