iaf-man Posted June 9 Posted June 9 (edited) (Copied from FB LSM group) It’s with a heavy heart and great sadness that I am posting up that HPH Models has closed its doors over the weekend. I always loved building their kits as they were quite challenging builds. Hopefully, HPH will regroup and reemerge in a better situation. HPH’s main Business of a manufacturer of some of the world’s finest sailplanes and gliders remains intact. At the website: In order to perform website maintenance, our online store will be temporarily offline. We apologize for the inconvenience and ask that you please try again later. Zola25 Posted June 9 Posted June 9 (edited) You have got to be kidding me... 😪 The most anticipated kit of all time for me was their upcoming 1/32 SR-71.. Edited June 9 by Zola25 BiggTim 1
Tony T Posted June 9 Posted June 9 I never did have the pleasure of building an HpH kit, but am nonetheless saddened that another player has exited the field. Tony Stefano, CRAZY IVAN5 and BiggTim 3
scvrobeson Posted June 9 Posted June 9 Hopefully they come back. I still need to get a Z-37 from them Matt BiggTim 1
FCM Posted June 9 Posted June 9 I hope that when they return, they will invest more in Infinity Models, creating more accessible kits for the community. Phantom2, BiggTim, Royboy and 2 others 5
dutik Posted June 9 Posted June 9 Come on: They are talking about website maintenance. That's not the end of the world, err, HPH. The shop is just temporarly unavailable. Even the LSP forum has an update then and when and is offline for some time. Business as usual. Regards - dutik BiggTim and williamj 2

blackbetty Posted June 9 Posted June 9 jiri is more or less a one man show driven by his own interrests, he just lost mojo williamj, wunwinglow, Tony T and 2 others 4 1
Jan_G Posted June 9 Posted June 9 This is sad news indeed I hope that someone will takeover or that Jiri will get his mojo back Tony T, scvrobeson, Anthony in NZ and 1 other 4
Tony T Posted June 9 Posted June 9 The masters for the Fly Models Su-7 was being made by a pattern maker at HpH. Selfishly, shamelessly, I really hope those got finished. I'm told the two Jiris Mr Valek at Fly and Mr Hodan of HpH collaborate a fair bit. Tony firefly7 and BiggTim 2

I'm a one man show, too, and sometimes it's a lot to handle, even part-time. I haven't actually built a model of my own for more than 2 years. Rick Griewski, Out2gtcha, Javlin1 and 1 other 4
LSP_Kevin Posted June 9 Posted June 9 This is really sad news if true. I have several HpH kits in the stash, but so far haven't got around to building any of them. I must change that soon! I was also planning to purchase their Ar 196 catapult and canopy sets, but it now sounds like I might have left it too late. But before we hammer the last nail in the coffin, let's see if we can't get something more official than a compelling rumour. Kev LSP_Matt and BiggTim 2
