Thanks guys! Would this one cut it? Although looking at the instructions it too has no slats.

It does have slats, I think the instructions are wrong. If you look on Scalemates, the Beaver Corporation JASDF release has the correct instructions.

There ya go, that'll work! If it's an F-40 then it should have the slats. I'm thinking that this kit is based on the old Hasegawa -86F.

No. It is fully different. No Hasegawa Sabre release had recessed panel lines and there are noticeable shape differences between the Kinetic and Hasegawa kits.

Well, that figures as I have the older Hasegawa kit and it does indeed have raised panel lines which I can deal with. The shape issues I'm ignorant of as I'm not a whizz bang on -86s, I like 'em but don't know all the ins and outs. Hopefully it isn't too far out kilter.

I reckon we needs a new state o' the art big scale -86. If it's good it should sell I'd think, lots of marking options to be had. But what do I know.

Fingers crossed Kotare come to the rescue.

Or: Please ICM, venture into the jet age...

Either /or, it's a series that could have a long run what with the different versions and the number of countries that used them. Would like to see them IM if possible.
