Boeing facilities in November 1969. Pre-delivery scheme to Tunisia Air Force. Ex JSDAF airframe, they served in the JSDAF since 1955 before getting transferred to TAF's 11th Advanced Training Squadron. The aircrafts were out of service in the Tunisian Air Force by the mid 70s.

Now that is one snappy paint scheme.   Very smart indeed.  Might be the best looking Sabre of the bunch.

I agree. I have a Kinetic F-86F-30, but I think that does not have the slats. Dare I ask what wing these had? I can´t find images of the operational in Tunesia. Tempting...

The F-40 wing, from what I've read here and there, had the same 6-3 leading edge planform but with slats added along with wing tip extensions[12 inch IIRC]. So if you want to do the Kinetics kit ,you've got some scratch building ahead of you. Agree with others , it's a sharp looking scheme ,she wore it well.

Let me try to clarify things ,the F-30 did not have the 6-3 wing planform . I believe that started with the F-35 wing so that would have to done too, so a lot of work. Keeping the wings sorted on these[F-86s] can be a little confusing at times.

Then I will try to find a suitable kit, I want this one. If you guys could suggest the best candidate kit wing-wise I would appreciate it.

Kinetic released two different kits: one with the slatted wing and another one with the hard wing.

Thanks guys! Would this one cut it? Although looking at the instructions it too has no slats.

There ya go, that'll work! If it's an F-40 then it should have the slats. I'm thinking that this kit is based on the old Hasegawa -86F.
