Blimey, looks like the wallet is in for a pounding in the coming years what with the next project by Radu already in the bag. I thought that 2 years from start to finish for a kitset was pretty good going but with a new designer the number of releases will surely speed up. I'm sure the missus will understand the need to support our Kiwi brothers in this endeavour.

Thanks for a simply fantastic interview cum review!

It's marvelous to get a little insight into the pondering thinking of the design team, it certainly adds another dimension to the kit. The going through of the sprues also add a lot of information to the pics of the sprues we've seen already. It makes me drool, and I'm again struck by how the kit seems to have captured the "soul" of the late G/K.

Incredible!

When will we get some teasers about the colour schemes/decals?

Well, this really have pushed me over the fence!

I WILL get (at least) one of these!

The Spitfire and the Hurricanes are no-brainers for me, but I have never had much intrest in the Messerschmitts beyond the -E´s and -G´s.

But, I get the same feeling as I had when I saw the first kits from Wing-Nut-Wings, this is gonna be a great line of kits!

Buy ´em when you can!

I had to wait until I got home from work last night to watch this.  I really enjoyed it.  As to the kit, I wanted to see how the fuselage seams looked and the treatment of the cowling hinge.  As to the interview, it was good to hear the background, across the board we always hear complaints about every new kit, why did they release X or why did they not fix this panel, or why is X the wrong shape.  This gave some nice insight into the whole process and that every decision has an economic cost.  For example fix a problem or live with the complaints and the damage that might do to sales or reputation.  With Kotare we know they care so we are probably going to get their best effort on every kit.  I won't commit to buying every plane type they release, but sure am biased toward considering anything they choose to release.  I pre-ordered this kit even though I am not a late 109 fan just to support them and it will be a nice build.  I really wanted them to do the early Hurricane's so we are getting the first of those now.  It sounds like we should expect a 109E, I am quite good with that.  I know there are 1/32 choices but I don't need an engine and a bunch of B.S. stuff.  I am not really interested in an engine unless it is done the way Tamiya does where cowlings can be removed or installed as for my part, most of the time I want the kit buttoned up.  Showing the engine is just something to do on occasion I do not like being committed to an airplane autopsy to show the engine off.

Now with that said, I have the Zouki Ki-45 and have a vision of building it in a derelict state as seen in some photos, show it with a cowling off, some holes in it from strafing, maybe flatten one or both tires that sort of thing.  To me the Ki-45 cries out for the beat up and trashed treatment.
