Archimedes Posted March 17 Posted March 17 Best news of the year! I am totally thrilled that not only will we have the Kotare Spitfire Mk1 and now the Hurricane to go with it but also Airscale’s Defiant. Things are looking very rosy for those of us who like to build Battle of Britain subjects. An injection molded early Mk1 Hurricane to this standard is absolutely fantastic news: I hope they sell pallet loads of them. Kind regards, Paul mozart, Pup7309, Christa and 1 other 4
mozart Posted March 17 Posted March 17 (edited) Agreed Paul, but also the oft-overlooked Battle of France, when the Defiant had “its finest hour”. Edited March 17 by mozart Rick Griewski, Archimedes, dennismcc and 4 others 7
John1 Posted March 17 Posted March 17 Hmmph…. Had a pipedream they would have done a Wildcat or F6F. Zero interest in the Hurricane but I know a lot of folks feel otherwise, so I’m happy for them. Pup7309 and kalashnikov-47 2

While I wanted and expected a Hurricane from Kotare, in light of the 109k we are getting the Hurricane earlier than I expected. However I would hope also the Wildcat and hellcat are on their to do list also. Based upon their recent interview, I believe they intend to speed things up a little on their releases. It will be gradual though as the have to go slow on adding staff to design the kits so they don't go broke trying to do too much too fast. John1, kalashnikov-47, Pup7309 and 1 other 4

Landrotten Highlander Posted March 17 Posted March 17 With their Spitfires I was happy with just 2 variants, but if they do a similar thing with the Hurricane variants I shall be getting one for evey variant ScoobyDoo 1
scvrobeson Posted March 17 Posted March 17 This will be well received, and I'm sure another dynamite kit Matt Archimedes and Pup7309 2

I agree, huge news, and I’m excited, though I’m now in a conundrum, just yesterday I was mulling over the idea on how to strip and overhaul my old Revell classic. The decals withered and flaked off, I think I’ll paint it in another pilots scheme and do the Kotare in Nicolsons VC bird. So, the wait now eagerly begins … Pup7309 1

thierry laurent Posted March 17 Posted March 17 Well, I'm fully understanding their decision even if I'm not really thrilled because I have more or less ten 1/32 Hurricanes in my stash (old Revell, new Revell, PCM and Fly). Nonetheless, I will get at least one or two kits to support them. I hope this should help them to release something a little bit less 'mainstream'... monthebiff, Reuben L. Hernandez and Pup7309 3
