1/24 Airfix Spitfire Mk Vb kit into MkI ?

Hi all,

 

I have my mind set on a captured Spitfire MkI for the GB.

I can't find one at the moment.

 

Until I noticed the Mk Vb kit.

I looked at the instructions.

IMO it's just the old MkI kit with extra parts for the Vb.

 

Simple question:

Can this be build as MkI ?

Evening, Erwin. 
 

I have exactly that boxing and was mulling just the same thing. The good news is all the parts for the MkI are present so you’re good to go. 
 

Separate sprues specifically for the MkV are provided, but the base kit is still the venerable MkI and you can simply build it as is.
