sure need em,

 

this build as i wrote earlier, used to aircraft but this is something else, all steps need thinking, paint and assembly, yes manual says one thing but em steps yaikes, mask, paint, mask paint, mask paint, if lucky freehand....and  it goes on lol.

 

PE next...yaih.

Gha....lol, PE therapy when its best, had to do them before i can continue with upper structure.

Fit is suberb, but minor gaps will be taken care of with Valleojos Waterbased putty, whipe clean with a cotton stick

Progress, upper structure command bridge.

 

if done as build manual says, ends up with gaps between the walls, better to build it as one module, and it slides down nicely without gaps.

 

Also rear upper deck edge fixxed.

Got few hours of build time this evening.

 

Looks like little but not, painted details, command bridge done, couple decals in place and so on, weathering needs ro start soon or else impossible without damaging or no room to do so.

 

Will use Tamiyas Panel washes various colors and mix, oils and AK pigments...

ligthten up "panels" on the hull due sun bleach and salt.

 

Almost all colors are home cocktails Tamiya and MRP, exept few as they were in my eyes perfect straight. 

 

all is dry fitted.

Adding, yes i masked all windows and vent windows yes wit tape used a punch to do em small round ones...payed of indeed.

No build updates this Weekend, maybe late Sunday, as got two concerts/shows to do late Friday and Saturday night.

 

Next step is panel line washes for the wood deck and oils, rust.

 

got to build some sort of jig for this model when PE frenezi starts, it becomes more fragile when handling when parts fall in to place

This weekend, do two shows (been doin this for over 35yrs, time sure fly by lol.
