alain11 Posted March 9 Posted March 9 hi gents How to make a suitable black/yellow ejection handle .... easily... I don’t like this kind of thing, I mean paint it, the result is never satisfactory. A fellow modeler ( thank you mate !!) gave us an easy and nice way to nail the thing...... let’s start with... first paint in black a length of cable ( with an air brush )... then turn it to 180 degrees and paint it yellow... Okay??? Easy! Isn't it ? . Attach one tip to a clamp, and the other end to a hand chuck, then gently turn the chuck; the yellow and black twist would appear, turn even more until you are satisfied with the result and off you go! .....You should better use copper or brass wire, which will be more resistant to torsion ... hope the tip will be useful cheers Alain John1, MikeC, TankBuster and 22 others 14 11
LSP_Kevin Posted March 9 Posted March 9 Now that is amazing! Many thanks for the tip, Alain! Kev alain11 1
TankBuster Posted March 10 Posted March 10 Thanks for that, I never would of thought to do it that way. Cheers. alain11 1
Juggernut Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Indeed! One question I have: Does it matter what type of paint it is? I'd imagine some kinds of paint would just flake off as soon as the wire starts being twisted.
Mal_Belford Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Dang and geez, Wow, this is Work Smart Not Hard thing, and superior effective result. Damn and yes ill remember this one. Thanks for sharing this. /mal alain11 1
